Dying To Death - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Once in a time a story begins
So many believe and some repent
People do live in a kind of teases
When a few of them do live of hunt

Dream is a long story we never recite
To be plucky is what I dreamt of when ignited
Yet a coward principled to never be a dint
But all of a sudden the berk have got enfeebled.

Ambitions are useless when you're not in take
You better be shut if only your deals are love
One of the games that many can never reback
Chagrin of love could never let you on the move.

I cried a lot for such an inner happiness
Brought to me from my only unique hassles
Some other times felt love can handle such a sess
That never comes when we behave like others.

I abruptly fell in love with a captain player
Hoping it's going to please like it normally does
I vexed myself within an unconditional loving
But puzzled, hurt from day one by her buzzes.

And like a fog my heart became
Just like a log in a dense forest
Acting as if I am playing mime
Where the word was a sin to lift.

I prayed for twilights each day then
Prayers of a cease were always close
Broken heart since ever risen
Sorrow and pain words made a clause.

As I thought I was thought prime and most,
I never was and that I really knew so
That my date was all about a cheat
That I deserved losses every go.

I was fooled, insulted and hurt left off
Till I spoke to myself if it’s fate
No reply till I screwed up mine life
Without a pity on my lone state.

I was berk and felt okay before time
I was a fine, relieved buddy to ever meet
Never stumbled before it came knocking
Look at me now dying of missing a line.

Love kills than it hills I’ve realized
May be sadness is all I deserved
Tempting was only m way to it
While all the worlds saint these mysteries.

Love is a myth but nobody knows
None even wants to figure it out
Because it's a drug to kill and it slows
Love or don't, it's all a loving state.

Whether you want to know your fate, love
Whether you need to stay happy, don't
If you want to achieve big, believe
If you want to keep going near, expect.

When the sun goes down, look down and stay quiet
If the moon falls asleep, sleep tight that long
When a dream differed, catch the wind and pet
Just believe in yourself, you won't be wrong

Fate is unavoidable, chance unseekable
Love is dreamable, loving is a tendance
Love and means are twins; yep it is intangible
Illusion and myth is what make this stance.

Dear me whom I try talking to
You who persist in hurt as curse
Please read my realizations too
I insist this will help of course:

Just take a minute of wander
Throughout that minute, wonder
Move ahead and set your lines
Jab your wounds and feel the gaze.

Now that you know the best and worse
Thrive in means and never look back
Follow your heart in any case
Be me for you are up-to luck.

The best healer for yourself is me
Lure your moves for your elation
Blink thrice and exhale fear within you
No reason to live in other's notion

Thence I am glad on my newer page
Solitude is undeceiving friend
So many of us grew in this cage
Hence leaning upon self, a suited shrewd.

Settling Maid - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Fallen, a night that was horrid
When I rebuked with my last
Awoke embraced with the maid
In the middle of the night.

She is the cutest of the maids
The best encounter I ever did
That moons can't never get z's
Invading the tilt, glad on our land.

Winds come to never tire her up
Love is meant to inspire her
Unaltered blinks at me so pop
A smile that creates prosper.

Wounds in thousands won't hurt
While the cure is set in her arms
Working inside the edges of a heart
So strengthened, trials bumped.

The worlds know we're an ensemble
Retreating the light of the couples
All the seasons saw us enable
Fostered cares blowing in bubbles.

Skies above and mods on the earth
Love is between us like a pestle to hoe
We fly to dream a truth longed to know
Where it stands and we can't bow.

By it's ken that both understand
With it's mood that all will await
Naysayers nodded in an entire trend
Yet, all led to our very loving cult.

All is said and many will end
Time is a lead to all the hats
She is all and my covet
She herself wins a life feast.

Whom I was love cares not
Love owns it never leases
It frees a tongue to heart a hurt
It fights a light to tame the right.

It sends beams to all the senses
Then wars freeze and won't retake
All is won until it ceases
Till it reigns over the age.

It fears not the highs and lows
The ranked date those who rame
By it’s sake a lion meows
And the world owned out of the blue.

The night marries a day
The right distress killer,
Her love cleanses my day
Awakener and my healer.

It wows when it settles
A king becomes the best cook
A wanderer donates the cattles
We never watch out the hook.

This love killed me to love
I entered the gates abnormal
And threw my beliefs I had
And gave me power to be real.

We never care of the norms
People’s talk in any way
Cause we are the only ones
And know our own stay.

I got shot and digested fast
Behaved as if life is only that
Almost died in her absence
Down and up my heart is settled.

Minwe Ifutse Idogo - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Si kera cyane ungeze mu maso
Undasa ikico ubwo ndamiraza
Ngacya mu maso uko nkubonye
Umutima utera utinye ariko utwawe
Nti : “Tuza ntuza untamaza !”

Uko bukeye unyuzura cyane
Gusa ndabizi ko bidakwiye
Kuko natinze kugera aho uri
Ahari aba ari nge ushinze
Ntacurwa ntotwa nk’uwazubaye.

Ubizi cyane unsomye mu maso
Simpisha rwose ariko mpisha byinshi
Kuko natojwe kuziga cyane
Ngo ejo igikwiye mbe ari cyo ndonka
Cyo kudasenya ibyubatswe imyaka.

Si gusa hanze n’imbere kandi
Indemo yawe ijya inkora ahantu
Si zimwe z’ubu ni iy’ubumuntu
Aho wabaye ntihasuherwa
Na yo amatiku uyazira cyane.

Imboni zawe n’inyumvo uhanzwe
Binsaba cyane bisa ibyo nsenga
Mutima ukeye w’ubushishozi
Ntabona ahandi kuva na kera
N’ukuri utunze ni ntakemangwa.

Bwa butore n’ubwitange
Ubwuzu bwinshi, ibinwanwa bitwenza
Ibitwenge bitwishe ukatwunza umuneza
Umugambi n’intego ukabyubaha cyane
Ugatoza umubano izi mbyiruke zeze.

Nkumva cyane ntanakuruzi
Waza nkitsa nkabura ijambo
Gusa buriya mba mvuga cyane
No kukureba ncya mu gituza
Nkuzura ituze kurya iyo undebye.

Intoki zawe ni nk’umuringa
Uko zitonze aho ku kiganza
Zifutse idogo zizira indonyi
Iyo uzihunze amatama yange
Ziba ari cyuki zikandembya.

Karya ka Rumba tubyina cyane
Na burya bwema tuba duhuje
Na wo umuneza unyatsa ince zose,
Na rirya hobe ndirira iteka
Na cya kiganza kurya tugenda.

Tumwe duhuza mbona tubaye
Nkibaza cyane icyo kibitera
Nkibuza cyane kwibaza cyane
Ngo hato ntaduka nk’igihanda
Ngashira ubwoba aho ntabikwiye.

Ntuha urwaho urwango iwawe
Urwana urwanya ihezwa ryose
Wanga umwaga utinya itiku

Nta buryarya uruta zeruji.

Cyuzuzo cyuzurijwe inzare
Kitabiro cyazonze intyi kitazuyaza
Saro ntasumbwa nso y’urusage
Wasaritswe ubwise nge ntarorera.

Ngututse ihirwe utunge utunze
Utorwe utakwe utete uteteshwe
Bitinde iteka utarame natwe
Na burya hirya nkubone isango
N’ingabe yawe ibe nyabihumbi.

Umunsi wange nzasigura
Ko uzira icyangiro mu matwara
Ko uzira icyanze mu cya sinzi
Ko uzira icyusa na cyugazi
Ko uri icyuzuzo k’intango.

Nzavuga ko uri mwiza utarutwa
Ncire imbere ntuze nkuvunye ihobe
Bitabaye ibyo ngusige bitinde
Kuko wabaye ruti rutitiranywa
Minwe ifutse idogo mu ncyo dukeje.

Behind The Eyes - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Within a world so wander
Most of us live in pretence
To puzzle hopes we all surrender
Dreaming until it never ends.

Holding a light all the way
Never becomes being right
It's chasing darkness away
And always be ready to fight.

Understanding all the about
Is never knowing the within
Nor knowing what’s up
But being introduced therein.

Being a head to a crowd
Never means being meant
It's all being prioritized
Ready for stress in your sight.

Fighting hard and righteously
Never means becoming a winner
It's losing victory before you get one
Building hopes ambitiously as a loser.

Those who know and know it
Are those who live it and don't care
Who think they know never got to it
Ongoing wonders interrupt their fare.

Calling yourself normal, abnormality
Much love brings much pain
Much faith brings worry
And much trust begets deceit.

He who fears fears not
Who fears not fears already
Who lies knows the fact
Who speak truth don't know a lie.

A trusted is not a perfect
It's who needs it much
Fights for it day and night
Not a goer in any church.

Who dreams big never get big
Who suffer the most never get tired
Walls of curse occupy a ring
Who's wise may be far beyond.

It's he who plans big to get big
And who aims far to get a trend
Be a silent rude of the ping
A silent slim and so fainted.

Who yells isn't a more wounded
What is seen isn't what's there
To know what it is you get bumbled
Behind the eyes, a confused sphere.

Ndi nde? - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Nakabaye ndi nde?

Ngo ahari mubaze impamvu
Ari uku we yabishatse
Ntampe amahirwe n’amwe
Yo kuba naba ndi undi?

Nta mukoresha unshima.

Nshaka kubaza Imana

Ntinzize ubwige yanteye.

Nshaka kuba undi muntu
Wizihiye gukundwa
Winamye mu mahirwe
Simbe mbarubukeye,
Nshaka ifoto ndi “Bwana”!

Naba Uwa Nde? - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Ndidegembya nkijya iteka

Naba uwa nde ntaye mwebwe?
Naba icyanzwe cya rucyoomwâ

Ndazi neza ko ari nge namwe
Uwanyu ndebwa indoro ishamaje.

Mu Isi, Inturo Yanjye - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Mu isi yanjye mwanga cyane
Mwijijisha ngo si ho iwanyu

Nganya ngo ihirwe rimpe ikunde
Nubwo ndeba nta kanunu.

Mbyuka iteka nta rubanza
Nkihumura ndamutsa abandi
Twa turirimbo twinyigimbya
Hashize akanya imbeho igatera
Nibaza cyane iby'uwo munsi.

Bamwe bahanga mbona duhura
Ivumbi ryinshi ryabarenze
Na ko agatutu ari igitero

Icyaduhuje ari ifaranga.

Barironka intego ari imwe
Ngo inzu bahahane n'udusambu
Ababo kera bazabe heza
Na yo amashuri bayaminuza

Kuko biryoha by'umunovera
Iwanyu hawe nta rubanza.

Wenda cyangwa si na ho iwabo
Ni irya nganzo igera aho ishatse
Ifasha izo nkuke guca imitaga
Ziruhutsa ko ejo buzacya
Iwabo ubukungu bujejeta?

Ni amahire ibyo ubwo mubizi
Mumpe ibyanjye ngume aha iwacu
Kuko nagiye iwanyu numva
Naba nanjye mbaye impunzi
Mwe mutimaje iwanyu mwaka.

Mwinyigisha gukunda iwanyu
Iwacu mpazi ahubwo mwebwe
Byaba byiza iwanyu baje

Mwaranambye umuhana w'aha.

Na ko ndashyenga inzira ijya iwanyu

N’ubabwiye ngo muge iwanyu
Mukamutwama ngo arabashenye

Ngo so ubabyara si uyu w'ino
Ngo iyo ni yo ari mu iryo tuze
Ariko rikinze ibihe n'ibindi.

Njye ino aha iwacu nta bahuza

Mwanga iwanyu ngo si ho iwanyu

Ariko ayo maso mukayafunga.

Ntawushaka kumva impamvu
Na ko ngo iwanyu bazira cyane
Umuntu wese uvuga ku byaho

Ngo avuze ubwiru bitari ngombwa.

Cyakora ubanza muri n'abaho
Kuko amabanga mumena iteka

Twa tubindi twamenwa rwose.

Gusa njye iyaba iyo ari ho iwanyu
Mukaba mwumva munahakunze
Mwata iby'aha nk'uko numva

Na ko nanone ndimo ndashyenga,
Iwanyu handi haba ahahe
Ko ari mitingi ineza amaso
Ngo murye utwanyu muye n’utwacu
Ngo turabitsa ahandi mama.

Rwose iwanyu nta bwo mpanze
Ariko unarebye uko muharata

Bitaba itiku nkamera nkamwe
Mwanga inturo ngo aha indoto
Umunsi iwacu habahaze
Nzaba indeba uko mubigenza.

Ishavu Ryanjye - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Icyicuzo Mpfabusa - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Mama abyuka ansukaho amazi
Sinzi umunsi yambyukije neza
Nkajya kuvoma urume ari rwose
Urujerekani runduta ubwinshi
Ariko ndubyimba ngo ntakonorwa.

Nkavayo ansanganya ikirepe
Na najoro ngo ubwatsi bw’inka
Nabutura bakambaza icyarire
Nakigwiza ngo siga ukuye ibijumba
Nuko uwo munsi ngasiba ishuri.

Abandi bana ababyeyi babo
Babazana kwiga barabakunda
Bazana impamba nge nta n’itushi,
Nge baratanye sinzi ibyabo
Ndi nk’umupira bahanahana.

Nakuze nkeka ko uwo tubana
Yari we mama untuka ubutitsa
Ntarya ntanakina nk’abandi

Data tubana we mbona ntamuzi.

Hummmh! Amibazo ansumbye ubwonko!

Kera ngewe na mama
Nta rukungu twe tuzi
Dukundana cyane urwunge
Ntaho najya atazi

Ubupfura rwose numva
Anshaka nkaza ntanga

Antuma ntebuka ndi bwenge
Tugendana hose nk'impanga

Mwubaha cyane birenze
Ihobe rye ari umurunga.

None nabaye icyo ntazi

Sinzi nange icyamaze ubwoba
Ubwenge bwo nta bwo ndagana ahaga
Ndaganya nubwo izima ndikunze
Mama antaye naba icyanzwe
Nubwo ingoyi ye inuma.

Gusa na maman dora ni kasha
Ibyamuteye nta bwo mbizi
Agira agahenge gusa iyo nana
N’iyo ndiye bimurya ahantu
Ndetse akabimpa inkoni zirisha.

Nshaka kutamubeshya
Numva ngarutse iwacu
Iby’ubu bihenebeza

Simenye ko nabeshye.

Tubana atansha iryera
Simbona uko mubwira

Umwanya uba ari mukeya
Umuhigo ndi gusarisha.

Numva arira ubutitsa
Ngatinya kumuha ihobe
Kandi ari nge ubitera
Atambona ngo tuyage
Ngo ancyahe umutima utuze.

Uko iminsi incuma mba uwundi
Atigeze amenya habe
Ndareba mugize intabwa
Nge ndi intyi kanyamahanga
Duhuzwa na terefoni.

Gica Iyo Asenga - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Nkugannye rwose ngo unkize icyavu.

Ndamira none mere nk’abandi
Mpange gahunda zicemo zose
Abanjinyora ubabuze ijambo
Nibikugora ureke nkuyambe.

To Whom Should I Be? - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

I solitarily exult day after day
Wishing to stay alone with myself
Watching over my own stances
Learning and practicing by myself
Away from all people’s sight.

To whom would I be if I avoid you?
I would be a forsaken, evited smirker
Of the neglected and praised doubts
Making a walk of a deft chancer
Living like a decayed fantasy.

I would be ruined in every aspect
None ignoring me but fleeing
Chances setting me into mortification
Being a nakba and a useless ado
Like a dust when it starts raining.

I would be a grime that lost decency
Rejected by every chanted provenance,
I would really be piling wastes
Demented melting than sugar
All woes dwelling within me.

I could be none if you withstand
Even if I bequeathed a richly affluence
I would be severely lone without you
And I would lose your unique host
Slimming in a fatal hunger.

God’s and heaven’s?
Pray hard and invent a gait?
Hate worldly belongings but seize them?
Make myself a castaway at my home?
Can’t render lies alike.

I feel I would be relieved if I die
Away from this worldly troubles
Free from the confinement of days
And the weariness locking me into craving,
Lissing in a superb fortune.

I feel that I lose nothing if I went
Especially if I leave a child
So that my name should remain
And pride it where I head
That I had deference where I was.

Mind themselves all my people
Be liars and those who don’t
Too much tears would vex them
Even though I’d not be watching
That I’m gone when needed badly.

It’s that I wouldn’t still breathe
I would tell all of them to cease
And inquire a speech if it’s hard
And ask them to come if that so,
But I’m kidding none would come.

My heart cries every single beat
Because of a colleen that perturbed me
Even if I pretend careless that I may move on
My betrayed dreams keep beating my brain
The chagrin keeps scaling at my sight.

Being anonymous where I’m known
And not deserving my merits
Meeting none even where I get
Seeing things that weren’t willing
Hunt by many beliefs I should adopt.

I would go that mystery that you fear
That makes you wander up and down
One that fears accountability
One that followers thrive from a word,
The one that keeps quiet when we suffer.

Frankly, I only look up to you
I know all of you as influencers
I will chase those who misspeak you
Collect and throw them away
And cast them into cache.

I’ll stay here where I belong
Such that dislikes daylight is a devil.
Leaving home and die where I don’t know?
May that be unspokenly fought
Want it or not, I’ll be here long.

Whether you diminish or buffet me
Whether you forslow or hasten me
Can’t upbraid you, things on their time
I know we’re all together;
Introverted pal you intimately consider.

I Just Know - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

I know how it really feels
To be a bastard and piece of shit
To accommodate unsuitableness
And always enduring.

At least I now know
How to truly love
When you’re a strange personality
And everyone is avoiding you.

I know fighting against oneself
Being on a life-earning battle
That you fully know you won’t win
And you keep the guts to fight.

I know how it really feels
For an unmended broken heart
To be a solitary subsister
Just to experience it’s inmost.

I know when to quit
When you don’t even want to,
I know where to hide
When you have nothing to hide.

I know how to outcry
When everyone is around
And none of them ascertains.

I know how to believe
When I’m believing nothing
Just to restrain the accusals
For the next day’s repose.

I really know how it feels
Looking moneyed and felicitous
While you’re a famishing solivagant,
I really know and comprehend life.

I know how to come back
When you really haven't left,
For I mastered how to hold
If you've got no other choice.

I know what to lie
To those who only believe lies
And fear facing the truth
Just to hide their true colours.

I never can't obnigate
That life is about choices
That one lead on their own
Before they belong to the norms.

I just know what I don't know
Just to make my circles proud
And feel what I don't feel
Just to fit their rude stance.

I know the ups and downs
Of incurable dreams
That haunt you for a lifetime
And never allow you to dream.

I know why I'm just me
And know why I don't mind
For I'm that bird in the dawns
That knows well people's venom.

I know I know what I shouldn't know
For they don't know how to know that
But I delight in knows of knowing.

I truly know what it is
To belong where you’ll never belong
Just to belong in the moment.

Cage Of All Time - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Sometimes I forget who I am
Trying to get along with myself
Yet every morning I wake up
Recalling all my deepest sorrows
And the darkest days of my days.

I truly wish I can be more than me
I chase dreams like everyone does
I pretend that I’m a whole person
That I can sharply hide my oppressions
Lying about me but never to myself.

The insane part is who I really am
In regards to whom I once was
Such guy who endured the past
I know nothing about him, frankly
But all I see is just me and I.

No matter how hard I try to change
My personality never ceases to haunt me
My mind has become a fit to society
But they only see the one I once was,
A good berk of the decades.

I’m in a war that nobody else realizes
Due to the innermost battlefield
And I’m confused like nobody else
To the extent that my merits rot
No clue on who to really showcase.

Time change, years come and go
Cloned, still dreaming same stances
Solitude is still my only bliss
Talking to none but the lone man in me
Weighing just how much we’ve spoken.

No matter how determined I try
My luck keeps running against me
My mind urges to keep moving
That I will get nowhere anyway
That I deserve nothing but starve.

No matter how bothersome I get
The fact remains my key reminder
That I’m a forlorn loser for life
That I’m a genius in our inner life
That I’m a lesson to the worlds.

No matter how deep I behold
I’m still carrying the same load
No matter how on I can move
I’m still in the same practices
Same place and same tears.

Dreams about dreaming
With endless worries for myself
That someday I would live
And forget that I never lived
Then abruptly die with no trace.

Ndi Umuhungu - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Muranabizi harera imvange

Amatage akaba matindi
Umutuzo udaterekerwa
Mbega nkitse ingamba.

A Letter to English - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Dear English,

I know you can read when I’m writing
You’re going too far ruining my life
Perishing my happiness and confidence
But there is something you normally forget,
I’m a Kinyarwanda native.

Please drop your guns and note
That I didn’t like you even once
Dominating my mother tongue.
I wasn’t born to speak you
I wasn’t going to adapt it either.

I struggle with you because you dictate me
Keep in mind that I hate just that way
You can’t let me just be myself,
You keep ruling my ideologies
Because you know your deadly strains.

You have been made a pretext
Of anyone willing to offend my merits
Bragging or chiding their provenance,
To even measure my Kinyarwanda skills.
Still don’t know why I envy you?

You confused my friends, siblings and parents
Who are even getting lost from their identity
Because of you and some of your allies
Without minding how poor you are
Nta munoga in your tradition.

In the name of myself and I
I pour my deepest wrath upon you
Against all your manifestations
To write and speak you less
Until you feel how Kinyarwanda suffers.

I know you’ll get to your knees
Begging to cease my vengeance,
But I’ll never give you any of the chances
I’ll ruin your hypocrisy and settlement
Till you respect my provenance.
Because my dearest English

The only thing I’ll be doing is
Mistakes and will never give a shit
I’ll love being called umuturesi
Uzahamane abakwemereye kwanga iwabo.

I never questioned your existence
But you’re uprooting my own one
Forgetting that you’re even an assemblage
Of the dialects that can’t measure up to ours
But you still think you’re supreme.

Thank you!
Hope you'll mind your business.

Your mad spoiler,
Lakhpin

Train of Ours - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Gosh! This train so superb
So still and lot of dreams
Many of which we all absorb
The state full of huge worries
A state to get in unwillingly.

To one corner a man wonders
The other cage women cry
Unaltered yells of all creatures
Getting tears that never dry
Broken hearts dying slowly.

Love is never got back
Faith kills than it heals
Trust hidden with no luck
Rude scenes and wrong wills
Fidelity is a sin, reality is silly.

Insane suns, wild winds
Dead moons to loners
Hope lost in frost moods
Gosh! This site ponders
With wheels pumped roughly.

A man and loneliness beloved
Chance and curse so betwixt
Life is a hole snakes’ reside
Denials to all, a broken heart
Rules and conducts set faintly.

World a stage a man to hover
Love is a myth without a source
Driven engage a differed dreamer
This unwanted puzzle missing a piece

That people get in unwillingly.
The site is an intelligent clean mad
A carnivore sheep of the midnight
Clayed eyes and legs made in mud
Looks splendid undoubtedly.

Dearest Land - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Dearest Land! You’re a dream differed
An indefinite dream for unkeyed
You break too many hearts
Heal too many souls abruptly
Kill so many indeed loves
Thus incite a life of pretence.

You’re a money made lifestyle
A suitable dilapidate religion
A refuge to desperate buddies
That many believe you’re a curb
Yet you confuse fidelitous colleens
And deceive whoever you want.
But you’re a dam of opportunities.

Dearest Land! You’re a home without taboos
An essence of somewhat hopes
Where people move each night
Couples break back and forth
Relationships built over sights basis
Where everyone mind their own hassles.

Big players are the best prayers
Where worship is a vital business
Preaching, a sophisticated deal
With a new mean of divination
Yet it’s got a certain overnight
And God is only sought by troubled!
But you’re a land of many chances.

Dearest Land! You’re a Neverland we never plot
Thus many of us don’t mind you
But still can’t revert to birthplaces.
You’re a confusing glittering promise
Enormous attractants diverting youngsters
Where speaking a mother tongue is illiterate.

A place that changed many of us names
Where tramping is a tiresome sport
Many starve and won’t ever surrender
Such a place of modernity and technology
That even modernized feelings and foods
Bodies can be remade and looks recreated.
Yet you’re a centre of creativity.

Dearest Land! You’re online to the line
A social media cohesion value
Where people value their norms not
Taboos are considered for elderlies
We know westerns news than our homes’
While chanting the love of our motherland.

Me, Myself and I - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Hey! I’m just me because it’s me
Of course, my me died longtime ago
To only become me
And will be me until you me me
Not only that I’m me, I’m just not you!

I only prove myself to just me
And there is no other me in the world
Than me, myself and I
Because I’m the only one me
And I am so because of me.

But I failed against me forever
Loving overgone beyond my ken
Surrendered my me to hers
Loved much to forget myself
Betrayed my me for an affection.

Now that I’m an awaken berk
My senses are back to myself
Expectant of nothing but solitude
Hurt than I could’ve suspected
Trying to heal but still a failure.

I sold my liberty for a hug
I betrayed my talents for a kiss
I forsook me in a love sentence
For a great hope that ruined me
With a death drown in promises.

I gained too much of nothing
Acquainted with a dearest misery
Thus solitude embraced me to realize
That I lost both me and myself,
Happiness, mind, dreams, everything.

I died and I truly know I’m dead
To the extent that my inner self
Wish we could’ve died all the years back
Because it aches knowing every day
That you won’t be none to ones you cherish.

Those unspoken truths flowing inside
That sorrow that nobody thinks of
Such shame life has ever brought
The empathy of a broken heart
That pushes impossible tears.

Just myself and I to this extent
Understand the pain of unmet memories
The lullabies that we never heard
Me, Myself and I, indeed buddies to exist
Shrewd of trusts and self-abnegation.

It’s myself and I having read the worlds
Crying to amuse, silencing to conquer
A so deceiving life of colleens
Just to embrace a cage of poetics
That ever heals and never rehearse.

With an immense roll of self-intent,
Me, myself and I, lone undeceiving triplets;
We never tell until we tell
To convince our friend Solitude
Who is aye an everlasting haven.

Me, Myself and I know the hell out here:
Just me, myself and I love each other
For an allure of our inner motives
Of unaltered dreams that long
Dwelling in our triumphal serenity.

Inzozi Nshenzi - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Ndwaye indwara ntazi
