Mbaye Mpirwa - Poem Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Naba nitwa umwami
Kandi ntaho ntwara
Banzi cyane ntabazi
Ntawambonye n’umwe
Ntujwe ntuye aheza.

Sinaba nkitwa Muhire
Utsindwa atanarwanye
Utagira ijambo n’iwe;
Mpuguza abantu zikera
Mbuguza imari bukwavu.

Nta cyo najya ntinya
Kabone n’ibyo ndeba
Nange ubwange ntakwiye
Nkundwa ntazi impamvu
Nta cyo nkora gihomba.

Najya ndota mpanga
Bugacya byogeye hose
N’ibifaranga umurundo
Ndi umuhanga mu bandi
N’umuco ubwawo unkeza.

Najya nsaba ngahabwa
Cyangwa se nkabiturwa,
Najya ndya bya ruzungu
Intore ziteye ubwuzu
Zimwe zibyutsa amerwe.

Naba ngera iyo nshatse
Hose mpabwa ikaze
Ntoranya iz’uruyego
Intarama nkwije hose
Nkinikiza ibitondo.

Mbaye mpirwa nkamwe mwese
Ntunze impano imwe ibaha ijambo
Ikahabajyana iyo ubu ntarota
N’irya n’ino nitwa inzare
Mbega mpesha inzira abo nshaka.

Naba umwandu ukwiye u Rwanda
Ndera izo mpinga mvunya ibikombe
Amanywa y’ihangu ansaba gutuza
Ngo mire akuka ntagwa mu matsa
Nkaho ahubwo ntaho ndajya.

Nayazonga amasoko yose
N’amwe mwanga nkayakukumba
Iby’amafiyeri nkabita iwanyu
Indekezi nshyashya ndasa mu kico
Ureke amagambo avugwa biri aho.

Naba mbaye mutarutinya
Ndi ikirenge kigera ibwami
Kitahajyanye ibigwi gihimba
Ibya rubanda ari yo magenza
Nkurizwa ineza ureke ubunyanda.

Nava mw’ubu bwige bwange
Nange nkigenera indi ngendo
Ingengana mu bugenge
Insanganiza amamari
Impwaniye inzozi zange.

Naba nkwiye ibyo nshima
Intinyi ari amateka
Umwana ari umutware
Amazuba ari amahire
Iminsi insekera cyanee.

Naba ndi ubukombe
Mwiga intero zange
Mudapfa kweza ibintu,
Naba ndi umuhanga
Mwogeza ntanakwiye.

Nazerera mu isi zanyu
Nkanazizonga bikabacanga
Mu kuri mwanga kwiga
Ngo ukwababwiwe ni ko rukumbi
Mbaye mpirwa ibirori byaba.

Everybody Of Us - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Everybody knows someone
But not everyone has someone.
Success is for anyone
But not everybody succeeds.

We almost know everybody
But we seem not to be known
And even when we do
We're purposely ignored.

Each step marks moving but not
Every movement worth a step
Reaching means, you've made it
But has nothing to do with everyone.

Dreams are for only our brain
But realizations are a sin we fear.
Admiring for our own eyes
But appreciation, is for our heart.

We all believe in God and
Behaving as if we’re his advocates
Teaching that we may solve things
Yet on our part, we still wonder.

We pray to God and tell everything
A bit of ease to tell us we reached
In a deep breath we proclaim
That praying is our refuge.

An hour later, we're still wondering
The same routine keeps aching
Our inside truths tell us we're on our own
But the outer world forces us to believe

That we have peace and heaven
That there is our fortune up there
That we should worry never
That we should not mind this world.

Yet the real fact we’re enduring is:
Ishavu, fear, ikinegu, deceit, depression
Rejections, intimba, wars, irungu and hatred
Church says: “Die first, you’ll be happy.”

Abruptly, the same world changes sides
And say we should plan the future
For our kids, ourselves, the nation
That someday we'll all die.

And still the world says intensely
That we should be ourselves
Take chances and be happy
And, learn much to survive.

However, it keeps reminding us
That culture should be our religion
That religion should be our culture
That we should abide to norms.

It's awkward when we choose either path
That this same guy makes noises
That we’ve made the wrong turn
That we've known beyond our limits.

Bible tells God gave us wisdom
To analyze and choose right from wrong
To ponder in every aspect of life
Religion says we're not meant to criticize.

We're dying so hard to know
Yet, we don't want to know
For deep inside we already know
But terrified of a hell if we did.

And the day after all it says
“Learning is for a lifetime
We should seek knowledge”.
Still we say: "We're not confused!".

We all have fights we're fighting
But all we tell our own intent is:
We know we are fighting but we’re not.
Yet, we consciously wake up in fights.

Everyone lies, especially to themselves.
Only if we knew how deep we grieve
We would stop our total pretenses
That we're normal than everybody.

Everyone is a chancer
But not everyone is a holder
Just because everyone is going
Doesn't mean we're on the move.

For everybody is not everyone
You heard me right we’re just us
Everyone is just everyone
And no one here to be, “Everyone”.

Imbeho Idaheza - Poem by Mwalimu LAKHPIN

Umunsi urira ntazi ibyawo
N’undi ukaza nzi ko utarira
Sinzi umunsi urubeho rwaje
Nzajya ndwumva ari amateka
Umwana nkunda akamba hafi.

Amaburakindi ubu ari gukezwa
Akitwa intwaro ndetse rukumbi
Yatuvana mu aya matsa
Nubwo ndeba bikidogera
Nshaje ntashaje aha mu gifungo.

Ibikino byose byaracutse
Inama ibaye ni iki cyago
Nta n’ikindi ifata nk’ingamba
Usibye guhama iwange
Ngo ejo ntagenda nkanagihaha.

Byaba ngombwa ko nanagenda
Ngapfuka umwuka nkabira ibyuya
Itutu ryinshi ndwana n’akuka
Nsabaganya cyane ngo ngire ntahe
Butari bwire ntageze iwange.

Abangaga iwabo bahakunze
Abangaga irungu ni ryo mubanyi
Rwa rugwiro rugizwe icyasha
Henshi icyoba cyasagambye
Ubu rurakinga bane, batanu.

Twese amaso aho tuyahanze
Ni ku buhanga bw’ubutabire
Nubwo mu bandi tuvuga Imana
Ngo itatureba cya kijisho
Maze idohore turye indi minsi.

K’ubu umuntu ahunga uwundi
Ntawukeka ko undi atarwaye
Ubu n’amatungo akora uko ahska
Yaducika akagana ishyamba
Ho haracyari ubuhoro wenda.

Utinye ikintu ingaga zihutswe
Kuko kitica uwabuze icyo arya
Si abatuye ibihanamanga
Barya ruzungu gusa barota
Dore ko abera bageze ahaga.

Isi y’abantu ubu iri mu matsa
Ariko iya nyayo yo iraruhuka
Nta bwo tuzi ubu aho tureba
Aho tutareba ni ho dukeka
Nubwo tuzi ko na ho hera.

Inshuro dukesha kubaho abenshi
Turi mu mazi abira adahosha
Umbajije iby’ejo waba ungoye
Keretse wenda ubajije iminsi
Na yo mitindi idafite ijambo.
